Avoiding Hedghogs Whilst Driving

When driving it is easy to hit a hedghog by accident.

Hedgehogs are spikey little things that love to live in the garden.  They like to hide beneath things during the day and come out at night.  They will roam around the garden at night looking for food going anywhere including in your greenhouses if you leave the door open.

They will eat pests such as slugs so they are very good for the garden.  Food can also be put out for them if you want to encourage them into your garden.  You can buy this from pet shops.  Be careful however with ponds as they can fall in and even though they can swim they find it difficult to get out.

Also be careful when lighting bonfires as they tend to get underneath them.  Best to keep your burning materials in an outbuilding or greenhouses until required.
